‘Polifonia’ Working Group for Instrumental and Vocal Music Teacher Training (INVITE)
“The Education of Instrumental and Vocal Teachers – Developing Professional Competences”
2nd International Conference
DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama – Dublin, Ireland
The conference looked at the specific competences that are required of future instrumental and vocal teachers, and the challenges and possibilities associated with developing these competences in instrumental/vocal teacher education. Different stakeholders reflected on this topic: students, graduates, instrumental/vocal teacher training professors, representatives from the working field, conservatoire management and so on.
Due to the volcanic erruption in Iceland, many participants were unable to attend. Therefore, the conference took a different format, staying as close to the initial programme as possible, but also adapting to the new circumstances.
More information about the conference will be available on this webpage soon.
